Can a situational judgment test identify mission-driven physician assistants?

Thomas Morgan, Ph.D.

Identifying mission-driven applicants is challenging without
measuring professionalism and social intelligence. Florida State University’s (FSU) experience with the Casper test offers programs an evidence-based option. In discussing Casper’s potential use cases, FSU will share correlations between Casper and MMI scores, compare its demographic differences with GRE, and accessibility for applicants.

The case for video interviews, now and after the pandemic

Jennifer Cruz, MPAS, PA-C

During Covid, Mercy College of Ohio piloted Snapshot, a standardized one-way video interview for applicants to showcase their unique qualities outside of their formal application from the safety of their home. Although used to replace the MMI temporarily, this discussion will explore the benefits of video interviews and its future.
