Casper is a unique situational judgement test (SJT) that uses video-based scenarios, timed questions and open text responses to assess an applicant’s people skills.
Snapshot is a brief video response tool that helps programs get a sense of an applicant’s communication and interpersonal skills before inviting them to a more in-depth interview.
How programs use it:
Although it can be used in different ways, many PT programs use Casper as part of their initial screening of applications by setting a threshold or incorporating Casper scores as part of a weighted formula to determine who to invite for interviews. Casper scores can also help inform final short-list or offers to candidates after the interview stage.
How programs use it:
Programs receive video recordings to assign, view and rate on all or a subset of applicants to inform who they bring to interview. Programs can use Snapshot responses to review a smaller number of applicants who are up for the last few interview spots, or applicants for who the program has conflicting information and need an additional data point to support a final decision.
From research to events, and masterclasses to a community forum, we’re giving back to our university partners and working together to strengthen the field of admissions.
An annual $100,000 grant aimed at accelerating new research that will strengthen admissions. The grant supports individuals or departments working in one of three streams: general admissions, the strategic use of Casper, and diversity and inclusion.
An annual conference that brings together admissions professionals from around the world to connect with each other, exchange best practices, and apply their learnings back home to ultimately bring in the best students to their programs.
A free, online resource centre and gathering spot for the admissions community to connect, learn, and grow. Sign up for masterclasses,
find best practices and other practical resources, stay up to date on original and third-party research, and network with the broader admissions community to share learnings.
